Indoor aspen sauna
A compact indoor sauna built into a new house: insulated and vapour-sealed shell, aspen lining, hand-finished benching and an electric heater.
How we built it
We framed and insulated the room, ran a foil vapour barrier with every joint and penetration taped, and set inlet and outlet vents so the air actually turns over. Aspen panelling was fitted with movement gaps, benching built in place with hidden fixings, and the heater and shielded lighting wired and certified.
Outcome
A calm, evenly heated room that stays dry in the structure — handed over commissioned, with the electrical certificate and ventilation set-up documented.
